O'Donoghue, Leo (John Francis)
20 June, 2021
From : Chris Dorgan<chris_dorgan@corkcity.ie>
I would like to extend my sincere condolences to the O\' Donoghue family on the loss of Leo. I had the privilege to know Leo through a good friend and colleague of Leo\'s, the late Pat Duggan with whom I shared an office in what used to be the family kitchen in City Hall. A kind gentle and thoughtful man, I was regaled with stories of roller-skate races which might or might not have been through, but that\'s not important, what was important was the telling, always with a twinkle in the eye. I was also lucky enough to sample the honey from the hives in Little Island and to get a tour. I am so sad to hear of the passing of Leo. I got to know him through the Men\'s Shed, and he was so generous in sharing his knowledge on wood turning. I thoroughly enjoyed his company and will miss him. My deepest condolences to you at this extremely difficult time.
