Fiona, Mary and all the Egan family, I am so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing, my thoughts are with you all at this difficult time. May he rest in peace. From : Katherine O'Donnell<katherine.odonnell@ucd.ie>
Dear Orla, Fiona and Colette I am so sorry. I met your lovely Dad only a few times but the memories are very clear. He was obviously very used to welcoming your friends to Mahoney\'s Avenue and indeed he made me feel warmly welcome. I remember being struck listening to him speak about his work with Cork\'s Deaf community and thinking how wonderful it must have been for you to have grown up in a house where fairness and inclusion and social justice were a regular part of conversation and were values that your father lived by. He also seemed to be a man who was an ideal father for girls, he was clearly proud and encouraging of you and was genuinely interested in what you were doing and who your friends were. He was lovely man. I hope that your countless fond memories of him will be some solace in the immediate time ahead. I am very sorry for your loss. Much love, Ka O\'DonnellFrom : Katherine O'Donnell<katherine.odonnell@ucd.ie>

To Jim\'s large extended family, our deepest condolences at this sad time. It is so hard not to be able to celebrate his life with a proper send off. This should be a time for all of us and all of you to get-to-gether, but not to be. I am thinking of you all at this sad time of loss, he is at peace so i wish you peace and acceptance. Jim was a special friend and support to the members of the Deaf Community and worked hard on their behalf. Love and hugs over the internet.
