McCarthy (Birchill, Grenagh and formerly of Dripsey): On March 19, 2012, peacefully, under the kind care of the staff of the Mercy University Hospital and surrounded by his loving family and friends, in his 89th year, DAN (MAC) (founder member IHTA and late Cork County Council), beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Mullane) and cherished father of Eoin, Denis, Donal, Joe, Maura and Eamonn. Sadly missed by his loving family, grand- children, great-grand- daughters, son-in-law Simon, daughters-in-law Joan, Sam, Colleen and Tina, brother-in-law Jerry, sister-in-law Nora, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends and Eileen and family. Reposing at his daughter's home, St Martha, Adhallane, Donoughmore, between 5.30pm and 8.30pm on tomorrow (Wednesday). Requiem Mass at 2.30pm on Thursday in St. Lachteen's Church, Grenagh. Funeral afterwards in St. Lachteen's Cemetery, Grenagh.May the Sweet Fields of Heaven let ye follow together the sounds of the hunt, gone but not forgotten. At peace.
