McCARTHY (Cork): On January 10, 2012, peacefully, after a battle with Motor Neurone Disease, JOHN, aged 61 years, best friend and husband to Liz, father to Jill and David and beloved grandad to Ben, Cian, Sam and John, father-in-law to Tom and Sarah. As per John's wishes he will be waked at his home by family and friends from today (Wednesday) at 2pm. He will be reposing at O'Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge from 10am on tomorrow (Thursday) followed by Humanist Service at 11am, Burial afterwards at the Curraghkippane Cemetery.
