If a member of the Family circle has difficulty coming to terms with their sense of loss, we will be very pleased to assist in making contact with one of the many Organisations or Associations who specialise in that specific area.

Beginning Experience:

A movement, which aims to enable people who have suffered the loss of a spouse by death or separation to work through the grief process. Organised locally in ten weekly sessions or in one weekend.

Compassionate Friends:

An internal organisation of bereaved parents that offers friendship and understanding to other bereaved parents. Regular meetings in Cork.

Irish Friends of the Suicide Bereaved:

Support Group for people who are bereaved by the suicide of a relative or friend. Meetings on 1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month.

A Little Lifetime Foundation

(formerly the Irish Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society (ISANDS):
Support group for parents whose baby died before or shortly after birth. www.alittlelifetime.ie

Rainbows Ireland:

This is a peer support programme to assist children,youths and adults who are grieving a death, separation or other painful transition in their family. www.rainbowsireland.com

Sudden Infant Death Register

The purpose of the register is to ascertain information on sudden, unexpected and often unexplained deaths in infants and young children in the Republic of Ireland. The register carries out research and educational projects based on this information.  www.sidsireland.ie

Samaritans Cork

The Cork Samaritans are a non-profit organisation who provide a confidential non-judgemental support 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing depression or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.
