Lynam (Cork) on August 23rd 2026, peacefully in his 100th year, in the presence of his loving family and in the tender care of his friends in Ballynoe Nursing Home; James (Jimmy) Kearney’s Avenue, off Cathedral Road (late of Glen Rovers & St. Nick’s). Beloved husband of the late Mary and devoted father of Mary (McCarthy) and Kieran, brother of Gus and Noel. Sadly missed by his loving family, grandchildren Eoin, Conor, Laurie, Samantha and James, great-grandchildren Zack and Lexie, son-in-law John, daughter-in-law Miriam, Eoin’s wife Rebecca, Conor’s wife Sarah, James’s partner Julie, nephews, nieces, relatives and a large circle of friends. Visitation at O’Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge on Tuesday 25th August from 5pm-6pm with prayers at 5.45pm. Requiem Mass at 12noon on Wednesday 26th August in the North Cathedral.
